God instructed Moses, that Biblical prefigurement of Christ; the Mediator between God and men, to tell the people to sacrifice a lamb. The Passover is the Old Testament type of the New Testament sacrifice of Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Fr.
