That there is a battle for truth is nothing new. Since darkness entered Eden human beings have been caught in a crossfire of lies, some of them obvious, some of them very subtle. The serpent was the most “subtle” or “clever” of all the animals the Lord God made (Genesis 3). Jesus calls the Devil “a liar and the father of lies, a murderer from the beginning (Jn 8:44). “ Hence, the connection between lies and death.
We have experienced humanity, caught in this crossfire of lies, lose both its freedom and its respect for life. From abortion to euthanasia, from suicide to genocide, the horrifying spectacle of man's degenerate behavior at once shocks us and frightens us.
Why is this happening? Why has man in the past 100 years apparently lost his moral and rational mind?
