The written Word of God is of paramount importance to the Catholic Church. All Catholics are heartily encouraged to learn how to read the Bible—There is a proper methodology in order to arrive at the Church’s interpretation of the inspired Word of God. Beyond reading, studying, and interpretation, we must pray the Word of God. Then we become one with the Word Who is in fact Jesus, thus empowered to do the works of the Body of Christ, the Church.
