Description

In October of 1993, two years after being ordained a priest by Pope John Paul II, Father John Corapi successfully defended his doctoral thesis in dogmatic theology at the Catholic University of Navarre in Pamplona, Spain. Father’s thesis addressed the mystery of suffering in the papal teaching of Pope John Paul II. Now, in honor of the life and death of this great and beloved Holy Father, we are making this important work available to the general public for the first time ever in audio and video formats.
Everyone experiences difficulties and suffering, whether physical, emotional, moral, or spiritual at sometime in their lifetime. The Cross is the crossroads where all roads cross. The reality that every human life is sacred and precious to God must radiate from the hearts and minds of all, especially those who claim Jesus as their Savior. As Father asserts, “To be placed on the Cross in Christ is to be set at the pinnacle of human possibilities, for the simple reason that ‘no greater love hath a man but that he lay down his life for his friends.“
The entire 333 page original thesis is read by Father Corapi himself, with his own ample and inspired commentary throughout. Filmed using digital and high definition technology, the entire book is recorded in the fireside warmth of a mountain cabin.

Length: Approx. 12 Hours
